Reviving the baton twirlers

CALLING ALL former majorettes.

It is hoped to revive the majorette baton twirlers in New Ross as part of the JFK50 celebrations.

The majorette movement was in existence for 35 years having been founded by Mary McGrath in 1979.

If you were ever part of the majorettes you are asked to please attend a meeting in the Tesco cafe this Thursday night at 8.30 p.m.
