Mass Times This Week: Tuesday and Thursday Mass at 9.30am.

Blessing of Throats: Sunday 3rd February is the Feast of St. Blaise and throats will be blessed at the Masses next weekend Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd.

Christmas Dues: Thank you for your generous contributions to the Christmas dues collection. Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Senior Citizen's Party: Rathnure Hall Committee thank all who organised and helped at the Senior Citizen's Party last Sunday and thanks also to all who entertained.

RATHNURE NS

The school invites applications from parents who wish to enrol their child for September 2013. On Thursday 31st January an Open Night will take place in the school at 7pm. At present there are 150 pupils in the school and 8 teachers. Currently each pupil qualifies for our free lunch scheme. A school transport system is in operation. PLAYGROUP

Rathnure Playgroup is presently taking applications from parents who wish to enrol their child for the free preschool year (ECCE Scheme) September 2013. The ECCE Scheme entitles your child to 3 hours/daily 5 days/weekly for one year prior to primary school. For more information and for all other queries please contact Mary: 087 6573696. ELECTRICAL RECYCLING

Free Electrical Recycling Day at J.K.M. Hall, Rathnure on Tuesday 5th February from 9am-12 noon. Any household items with a plug or battery will be accepted, from large items such as fridges/dishwashers small items such as remote controls/electric toothbrushes and everything inbetween.

Batteries will also be accepted including car batteries and electric fence batteries. All batteries recycled will go towards the 'Spread A Little Sunshine' fundraising campaign for LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice. This collection is organised by W.E.E.E. Ireland (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). This represents a great chance to finally clean out the garage or attic.

Club Shop: The GAA Club Shop will open next Sunday morning from 11.30am until 12noon.

GAA LOTTO

The numbers drawn last Tuesday night 22nd were: 2, 19, 27, 29. There was no jackpot winner. Brendan Dillon, Ballygibbon, Johnny Carty, Rathduff, Hannah O'Leary, c/o: Bernie Higgins and Bernie, Deirdre, Chris & Geraldine Weafer, c/o: Bingo were the four match three winners who each won €50.

OVER-40S INDOOR SOCCER

This continues on Wednesday nights in the Martin Codd Arena at 9pm.

SPLIT THE POT

Killanne Community Alert: The winner of the split-the-pot draw held in The Corner House on 17th January was John Colclough, Caim who wins €200. The next draw will be held on 31st January at 9.30pm in Conran's Lounge, Rathnure. Good luck to everyone.

Bingo is every Thursday night at 8.30pm in Rathnure hall.
