ENTHUSIASTIC WANNABE divers took to the waters for their first taste of diving in New Ross Swimming Pool last Wednesday night courtesy of the Hook Sub Aqua Club.

A great number of novices turned up to try on all the gear and have a go in the pool.

Instructors Ray, Noel and Dave Furlong guided the trainees around the pool and put them through their paces.

It was also the first night that club members got the chance to meet up after the club's hugely successful Christmas swim.

Many brought along family and friends to join in the fun of the pool.

It's still not too late for anyone interested in joining the club this year to do so. If you are interested in scuba diving, please come along to New Ross Swimming Pool tomorrow ( Wednesday) at 7.30 p.m. or check out the club's official website at www.hooksubaqua.com
