St James' GAA club is holding a Céilidhe Mór in the Star of the Sea Centre, Duncannon at 6 p.m. on St Patrick's Evening - March 17 - (after the parade). Music by Hal's Céilidhe Band. Cockleshell Art Room
The Cockleshell Art Room is now open for the 2017 season. Opening hours are from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m. on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays, for the next few weeks.

Coiste na nÓg
The Under-9s took part in the new 'Shed Blitzes' hurling in Horeswood last Sunday playing Gusserane and Horeswood, winning one and drawing the other. The Poulfur NS boys qualified for the next round of the national schools mini 7s hurling competition, defeating schools from Bannow, Ramsgrange and Taghmon in the first round in Grantstown.
The minor hurlers who are joined with Clongeen were at home to Crossabeg-Ballymurn last Sunday. They lost out on a 3-10 to 2-9 scoreline
Féile na nGael
The Féile na nGael under-14 hurling competition returns to Wexford this summer. The draw took place recently and in hurling Fethard have been draw with neighbours St James and teams from Kildare and Roscommon. In camogie they have been drawn with Wexford side Kilmore and teams from Monaghan and Cavan.
As a fundraiser for Féile the local Féile 2017 Committee are holding a used sports clothes sale in the next few weeks. If you have any shorts, hoodies, jerseys, football boots, helmets, hurls, shin guards, football gloves, skirts, base layers, runners, etc to donate, please contact Anne Nunan or Kelly Foley, or any GAA or Ladies' Club member.
Funds raised will go towards the hosting of Féile 2017. Venue and date of sale will follow in the next few weeks.
Fethard St Mogue's GAA
The intermediate hurlers were away to Shelmaliers in the All County Hurling League. The sides ended level on a 2-11 to 1-14 scoreline.
After many years of waiting the board of management finally took over the new National School last Thursday evening. Work has already started on the demolition of the old school to make way for the new playing field. Parents will be viewing the school next Thursday while the board of management will confirm a date for the wider community to view the school.
The official opening will take place on June 1. Thanks again to everyone who have been so generous in contributing to various fundraisers to purchase additional equipment for the school.
There was a three way tie for first place in the Progressive 45 Card Game in Colclough Hall, Saltmills last Sunday night between Tommy Morrissey, Billy Shannon and Tony Murphy and Maureen Eustace, Willie White and Carmel Kehoe and John Sinnott, James McDonald and Aidan Colfer. The winners of the last game draw were Kathleen Cadogan, Mary Doran and Dermot Bassett. The raffle winners were Kathleen Cadogan, Maureen Eustace, Carmel Kehoe and Maura Cahill.

Carrigbyrne Pike Choir
The Carrigbyrne Pike Choir will perform in concert in St Mogue's Church, Fethard-on-sea on Friday, April 7, at 8 p.m. The choir will sing excerpts from their show 'Spirit of Freedom' which they staged last October. Songs to include; Ave Maria, Prayer for the children, A Child Prayer, Amazing Grace, Going Home, One More Day, Grace, The Dawning of the day and lots more. The proceeds of this concert will go to the Wexford Women's Refuge which do tremendous work for women and their children at a time of crises in their lives.

Tintern Childcare are holding their annual Easter camp from Monday, April 10, to Thursday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is €45 per child for children aged four to eight years.
