The Amy Winehouse Group who took part in the Ann Marie Cooney Show in St Michael's Theatre last Friday night

The 'Anne Marie Cooney Stage School' showcased their 'Legends' Summer Show, over two nights in New Ross's St. Michael's Theatre.

Children aged from 3 to 18 years, along with a very obedient terrier called 'Buzz', sang and danced to packed audiences for the school's 31st performance in the town.

The stage school, made up of seven classes, has hosted two shows a year over the past 16 years, and this year featured 'Legends' such as Judy Garland, Madonna and Amy Winehouse, while a boys-only class did the music from Elvis.

Children have been rehearsing since January for the Bank Holiday weekend show. Now closed for the summer period, the school will re-open in September. Anyone interested in learning more about the stage school can contact Anne Marie on 086 817 9098 or check out the Dance AMC FaceBook page.
