The agricultural, horticultural, arts crafts, trade and vintage show will officially kick off at 10.30 am, when judging will commence on the numerous classes.

The show, taking place on lands kindly donated by the Cullen, Whelan and Redmond families, will feature all the usual horse, pony and sheep classes as well as show jumping and an interhunter chase.

There is also numerous horticulture, home cooking, home industries, arts and crafts classes and a plethora of competitions of all interests for children to enter.

There are perpetual cups and trophies to be won for the best exhibitors in all classes. The standard of entries is always high in all classes and as always at the Adamstown Show there will be a very keen interest in the winner of various classes in all the different sections of the show.

Another very attractive class for the Adamstown Show this year is the All Ireland Tattersalls/WFC Thoroughbred Brood Mare Championship with another €1,000 in prize money from first to tenth. The winning mare will be presented with a nomination to 'Scorpion' (by Montjeu) which is kindly sponsored by Castlehyde Stud in Fermoy, Co. Cork.

'Scorpion' was the champion three-year-old stayer in 2005 and earned almost one million Euro in prize money when trained by the famous Aidan P. O 'Brien at Ballydoyle.

To encourage exhibitors to get involved in this new competition. Entries for the dog show as well horse and pony jumping take place on the field.

Any equestrian enquiries should be directed to Patrice Byrne on 087 6166926 and for all trade enquires contact Eunan

Flood on 087 6143207.

JUMPING

Always a major attraction at the Adamstown Show is the horse and pony jumping competitions. The welcome addition of a third jumping arena in recent years has helped greatly in the efficient running of the show jumping events.

HUNT CHASE

Organised by the Wexford Hunt Club, the Inter- Hunt Chase is always a most exciting event and again this year the winning team will qualify for the R.D.S in August.

VINTAGE

Vintage enthusiasts will be in their element with the large entry of vintage tractors and machinery, which will be on display at the show. The eagerly awaited parade and presentation to vintage exhibitors will take place in the afternoon.

DOG SHOW

Perfect pooches, preened to perfection can be seen at the keenly contested dog show. This event has grown in popularity in recent years with more and more exhibitors competing in different classes, with all winners vying for the coveted 'Dog of the Show' Trophy.

SHEEP

With the sheep industry improving, the sheep classes at the Adamstown Show are well supported this year.

There will be upwards of twenty sheep classes on the day.

TRADE STANDS

A firm favourite at the Adamstown Show are the numerous trade stands.

This very popular section has grown immensely over the past number of years and last year there was over fifty trade stands with everything on offer.

PLEASE NOTE

The Adamstown Show hosts numerous other attractions such as children' s amusements, an animal pets corner, traditional butter making and lots more.

Parking facilities at the Adamstown Show are always second to none with lots of car parking space available adjacent to all the atmosphere and action.

The hardworking officers and committee of the Adamstown Show have put in a huge effort to have this year's show the best ever. Particular thanks are extended this year to Kieran Mooney of Mr. Oil for sponsoring the South East Radio road caster on the day.

There is something for every member of the family, young and not so young to relax and enjoy and meet old and new friends.

Patrons and exhibitors are asked to attend as early as possible and have a most enjoyable day out with all the family.
