GAA LOTTO DRAW: Scartaglen GAA Clubs next Lotto Draw will be on Sunday night January 27 in O Connors Bar when the jackpot will be €11,000.
GAA ANNUAL MEETING: Scartaglen GAA Club held their AGM in the Clubhouse on Friday night last January 11. Chairman Tim Dineen in his address stated that 2012 was the best year ever in the history of the club. He said great credit and praise was due to the players, trainer and selectors for their wonderful commitment and dedication over a long and arduous season. He hoped that the same commitment, dedication would prevail in 2013.
He also congratulated Scartaglen Ladies Football Club on their wonderful achievements during 2012. The Chairman thanked all for their help in relation to the Lotto and the recent fundraising Talent Contest which proved to be a great success. He also thanked the Clubs referees and those who donated spot prizes at the Clubs Victory Social on December 27 which was a highly enjoyable night. Tim on behalf of the club wished to extend sympathy to all who had lost loved ones during the course of the year. In conclusion he wished players and management continued success and good fortune in 2013. Club Secretary Tom Boyle explained at length all the activities that the club were involved in during 2012 and said it had been a truly remarkable year for all involved.
Treasurer Pat O Sullivan provide a detailed and comprehensive financial report and the meeting was informed that the clubs Lotto was the main source of income and urged more to get involved in the selling of Lotto tickets.
