LAST weekend's Round 2 Senior Hurling League games did not go ahead as a result of vital club championship football games. This round has been deferred until a later date. The next round will go ahead on Sunday, May 6 at 1pm, these games are subject to change by the CCC.
PREPARATIONS for the first round of the Munster championship against Tipperary are going well. The minors were out against Duhallow in the Cork Central Premier League on Friday evening. The final score was Kerry 2-20, Duhallow 2-10. They were out again on Saturday against Midelton in the same league. The final score was Kerry 3-14, Midelton 1-11. They are now placed second in the league with only one game to play against Sarsfields. They will take on Tipperary on May 2 in Thurles. O'mahony Weekend THE launch of the Patrick O'mahony Memorial weekend will take place in the White Sands Hotel, Ballyheigue on Sunday 29 at 7pm. Patrick played for Ballyheigue all his life from underage right up to senior level.
He took after his father Christy and manned the full-back position. He captained the victorious championship winning team in 1992, defeating St Brendans.
He went on to win three more championship titles in 1996, 1997 and in 2000. The tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 5/6. Reminder to all PROS ALL results must be text in immediately after all games by the home venue PRO and results sent to email@example.com by
8pm on Sunday evening. Club Plan launch CAUSEWAY GAA Club will launch their five-year plan including a book containing all the information about the plan on Sunday, April 29 at 7pm in Causeway Comprehensive School.
Special guest on the night will be Liam Sheedy, ex Tipperary manager. All people young or old with an interest in GAA and the community are most welcome.
