PARISH VIDEO: A DVD of parish life entitled "Mountcollins Past and Present, was hugely popular when produced a number of years ago. Due to recent enquiries it has been decided to release more copies. SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: Tournafulla GAA grounds hosted the final group game of the county senior football championship Saturday evening where Mountcollins played near neighbours Fr. Caseys. As expected the town side justified their favourite tag with a workman like team performance to win by 16 points to 14. Fr. Casey's sowed the seed for victory in the first half as they scored some fine points to lead at the break by 12 points to 1-1. Despite a much-improved display from Mountcollins in the second half, poor finishing from scoreable chances gave the Abbeyfeale side a nine points victory. Despite being on the losing side there was a man of the match performance from Mountcollins keeper, James Brouder, who made some outstanding saves over the hour. This game concludes the playing season for the senior team who had mixed fortunes during the year. They confounded the critics by maintaining their senior status for next year and also reached the county league final in 2012. Thanks to the management team of Paudie Naughton, Eric O'Connor, Paddy Lenihan, Dave O'Connell and Seamus Hickey, physio Kadie Colbert and team trainer Kevin Beasley for their efforts on behalf of the team in 2012. Thanks to all the players for their time and commitment and all the entertainment they gave us during the year. We wish team trainer Kevin Beasley the best of luck as he moves on to take up a new role with the Kerry team. Saturday night's line out and scorers were James Brouder, Timothy Walsh (Capt), Sean Lyons, Jeremiah Moroney, Timmy Begley, Brian Lenihan, Con Begley, Pat O'Connor, Tom McCarthy, Stephen Cahill (2 pts), Donal Gleeson (1 goal), Shane Gleeson, Pa Delee, Sean Gleeson (1 pt), Mike Curtin (1 pt). Subs: Batt Dillane, John O'Connell, Donagh Walsh, Sean Casey, Michael Lenihan, Bryan O'Connell, Johnny O'Connell, William Finnegan, Denis Dillane, Mathew Brouder.
