PLAYED in Coolard last Sunday, it got off to a quick start when Tarbert's Andrew Doherty pointed from a free in the third minute, again in the seventh minute Tarbert's Connor Cregan pointed from play.
NORTH KERRY U16 DIVISION 2 FINAL Tarbert 2-16 Beale 3-11
Beale'[s response came in the ninth minute Cillian Courtney pointed from play again in the 11th minute Beale Cormac Linnane pointed from play. In the 12th Tarbert pointed from the boot of Sean Carrig, in quick reply from a long ball in, Beale's Cormac Linnane fired the ball to the back of the Tarbert net. In the 14th minute an awarded free was pointed by Daniel Ellis again in the 15th minute Tarbert's Sean Carrig pointed, another awarded free was converted by Daniel Ellis (Beale) in the 16th minute.
This game was going from one end of the pitch to the other with both sets of forwards showing their skills when again in the 17th minute Andrew Doherty pointed for Tarbert, but the first of Tarbert's goals came from the boot of Brain Heaphy in the 18th minute. In quick reply in the 20th minute Brian Wall (Beale) pointed from play. In the 23rd and 24th minutes a point each from play and a free were taken by Tarbert's Andrew Doherty.
Again it was Beale's midfielder Brain Wall who replied with a point in the 25th minute, it was Beale who again pointed in the 26th minute from a pointed free by Daniel Ellis, again Beale put on the pressure when in the 27th minute Cormac Linnane pointed, but in reply Tarbert fought back when in the 28th minute wing-back Dale Mulvihill came up the feild to point, again free taker Andrew Doherty was on target in the 29th minute and to finish the first half Sean Carrigh struck the ball to the back of the Beale net. Half-time score was Beale 1-8 Tarbert 2-9.
The second half started and it was Beale's Brain Wall who got of to a quick start when in the 32nd and 33rd minutes he coverted two awarded frees. Tarbert's Andrew Doherty again converted a free in the 35th minute but in quick reply in the 38th minute Cormac Linnane pointed for Beale.
Andrew Doherty (Tarbert) pointed in the 40th and converted a free in the 41st minute it took until the 45th minute for the next score which came from Shane Mc Donnelly (Tarbert) a point from play.
But in true fighting spirit Beale's Brain Wall in the 55th minute fielded a kickout and came up the feild and fired a rocket of a shoot from the 20 yard line to the back of the Tarbert net. Again Beale went on the attack when Nelius Mulvihill was dragged down in the square and a pently awarded was converted by Daniel Ellis in the 57th minute.
But it was Tarbert's Andrew Doherty who came up the leader for his team when between 58th and 60th minutes he scored three points two from play and a point from a free.
