BALLYDUFF GAA CLUB held its weekly Lotto Draw on Monday October 1st and the results are as follows: The numbers drawn were 1, 20, 25 & 26.
The Jackpot of €5,350 was not won on the night and the following were the €50 Lucky Dip winners; Helen Carmody, Meadow Lane, Ballyduff; Gemma O'Sulllivan, Sleeveen, Ballyduff; Gerard O'Connell, Tillaughna, Causeway TV DRAW: Thomas Mulvihill, Dromartin, Ballyduff; June O'Connor, Lixnaw; Teresa Fitzmaurice, Lixnaw COUNTY HURLING CHAMPIONS: Congratulations to the Ballyduff Senior Hurling team on retaining the Garveys Supervalu County Senior Hurling Championship title with a six point victory over Lixnaw in the final at Austin Stack Park, Tralee on Sunday last. The outcome of this game was never in doubt as Ballyduff led from the start. A Bobby O'Sullivan goal from a free midway through the first half separated the sides at the break as Ballyduff went in 1 – 5 to 0 – 5 ahead having played against the wind. Lixnaw came more into the game in the third quarter and reduced the margin to two points. Ballyduff upped the tempo and scored some fine points to storm into a nine point lead. Lixnaw got in for a goal before the end but by then Ballyduff were home and dry. Ballyduff will now play the semi-final of the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship, against the winners of the Cork/Limerick quarter-final, on Sunday November 4th at 2.00pm at a venue top be decided.
