SHANNON RANGERS TEAM OF 1972 TO BE HONOURED - The Shannon Rangers team who won the Senior County Championship in 1972 which included many players from this side of the parish; (Paud and Eamon O Donoghue, Michael Walsh) is to be honoured at an upcoming function to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their famous victory.The event will take place in Carmody Hall in Ballylongford on Saturday November 24th The 1973, Shannon Rangers who became the 1st county minor champions will also be celebrated on the night.
