FOOTBALL CLUB: The junior team played Gneeveguilla in Rathmore on saturday night last. This was in the semi final of the McElligott Cup. Ardfert were defeated.

North Kerry School of Football Excellence Strength and Conditioning course will take place in St. Michaels College Gym, Listowel, this friday night at 7pm. Fitness specialist Arthur Fitzgerald will give the course. This will improve player flexibility and core strength. Players, Coaches and Managers are welcome. TOM HEALY U-15 MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT: St. Brendan's are due to play this Friday evening at 7pm under lights in Abbeydorney. This is 9-a-side games series with 14 players on the panel. The Games will begin at 7pm sharp with a total of 9 Kerry teams competing in the competition over two Friday nights. The blitz will be run on a Round Robin basis with each club getting three first round games. The top 2 teams in each group will qualify for the Semi Finals on the 26th October with the finals being played on the same night. The groupings for this Friday are Ballyduff, St Brendan's, Kilmoyley, Lixnaw. Rules: Clubs are limited to Panels of 14, All U 15 players must be played. If Clubs don't have enough U 15's then U 14's can be played to complete the panel. Games will be 9 a-side. Team Layout: 1 Goalkeeper; 3 Defenders; 2 Midfielders; 3 Forwards. Time: In the Round Robin series Games will 10 minutes a half. The finals will be 15 minutes a half. Cards: If a player receives 2 yellow cards he misses remainder of that game. If player receives a red card he misses next game. Playing Rules:

In the event of a tie Scoring Averages will apply. NK U-16 (R2) was played last Sat. v Abbeydorney and gave Abbeydorney a comprehensive 7-14 to 4-2 win. U-10 & U8 BLITZ will be held this Sat. beginning at 10.30am in Ardfert with 4 teams competing at both age groups. We look forward to a good days hurling and the support and help from parents of the hurlers competing.
CO. U-12 LEAGUE PHASE 3: St. Brendan's played Tralee Parnell's last Sunday morning in Ardfert and were unlucky to lose 1-5 to 1-4. Both teams gave a great effort and are to be commended for their hurling skills. U-6, U-8 & U-10 hurlers travelled to the all-weather pitches at ITT in Dromtaker last Friday evening and they all enjoyed their evenings hurling under lights. Thanks to all the parents who attended and for the help on the night with the teams. THANKS to eveybody who supported last Saturdays bucket collection and to our own members who gave their time to collect.
