THE County Final 2012 is upon us and it is the big day of the year with the novel pairing off Dr Crokes and Dingle.
Dr Crokes, the defending champions, are seeking three in a row County titles and Dingle are hoping to win their first title since 1948.
The Killorglin Pipe band will entertain the attendance at Half time. Once again Coiste na nÓg produce the match day program. All Under 16s are free. Admission is €15, Senior Citizens/€10 Students €10. Co IFC Final THE Castleisland Mart Intermediate Club Final is the curtain raiser to the Senior County Championship.
This game is at 1.15pm in Austin Stack Park on Sunday, October 28 when Spa take on Finuge to determine the winner of the Fenian Cup in 2012. The winner will also have the honour of representing Kerry in the Munster Intermediate Club Championship 2012.
Finuge and Spa have enjoyed recent successes in the club championships at county, provincial and national levels. Finuge were Kerry, Munster and All-Ireland Junior Club Champions in 2004/2005 and Spa were Kerry and Munster Intermediate Club Champions in 2009 and All-Ireland Runners Up. It will be a fantastic contest. A man of the match trophy will be presented by The Castleisland Mart.
The guests at half-time in the County Final are the Kenmare District Senior Football team of 1987, who are celebrating the jubilee of their County Final victory this year. Keanes MFC Final ON Saturday next at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney the Final of the Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Minor County Championship takes place. The Frank King Cup will be presented to the winning captain from St Brendan's District or Kenmare District . St Brendan's and Kenmare have never met in a County Minor Final and it will make for an exciting prospect.
The Keanes Supervalu Killorglin County Minor Final takes place at 3pm on Saturday next in Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney and sponsor Peter Keane will present a man of the match trophy. County League PROMOTION and relegation issues were decided last weekend across the Credit Union County Senior Football League. Congratulations to Dr Crokes and Dingle, who are in the Division 1 Final as well as being in The County Final. Congratulations to all the teams that have been promoted in 2012. Division 2: Kilcummin (Division 2 Champions) and Waterville Division 3: John Mitchels (Division 3 Champions) and Currow Division 4: Templenoe (Division 4 Champions) and Listry or Na Gaeil (both have 17 points in second place on table) Division 5: Brosna (Division 5 Champions) and Fossa or Ballylongford who have 20 points each in second place.

The losers of Duagh V St Senan's will be relegated to Division 5 and the winners will play the losers of Fossa V Ballylongford with the winners of this game tasking part in Division 4 in 2013 and losers in Division 5. All of the games requiring playoffs are all subject to the ccc looking at all games played and conceded prior to any final decision. U 17 Interdivisional 2012 THE Dominos Pizza Tralee & Killarney Interdivional U17 League commences this week.
The first game in the Competition takes place under lights on this coming Friday night in Caherslee at 7.30pm between North Kerry and Mid Kerry, while the second game is a curtain raiser to the Keane's SuperValu Killorglin County Minor Final : when East Kerry face South Kerry at the Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney with a 1-15 throw in.

The Moss Keane Cup is presented to the winning captain each year in memory of Moss Keane who passed away prematurely in October 2010. be a very important game for Currow as Moss Keane was a member of the Currow GAA Club and played football with his club and represented Kerry at U-21 and won Sigerson Cup honours with UCC. The talented Currow man played rugby for Ireland at the highest level and was capped 51 times for Ireland.
