THERE'S going to be plenty of fun and excitement at Tralee's Cumman Iosef Sports Hall this coming Saturday as the Tralee Together Special Olympics Team host the first of this school year's Kerry indoor games.
Up to 90 athletes from all over Kerry are expected to take part in the event with sportsmen and women from Killarney's Kerry Stars, Listowel's North Kerry Eagles and the Skellig Stars from Cahersiveen joining the Tralee Together Team for a day of fun and sporting competition.
This is the seventh year that the Tralee Together Team, who celebrate their tenth anniversary next year, have hosted an indoor games event and it promises to be a fantastic occasion with a huge crowd of athletes, supporters, coaches and volunteers expected at Cumman Iosef.
All the action kicks off from 10.30am on Saturday morning and anyone is welcome to drop by and see the many dedicated athletes in action. The organisers of the event will also be supported by Transition Year Students from each of Tralee's secondary schools and by the volunteer members of the Kerry Civil Defence.
Tralee Together Chairperson Kit Ryan said she expects it will be a great day.
