Skelliga FC are the new leaders in Division 2A

SKELLIGA FC 3 Tralee Dynamos B 0: SKELLIGA FC are the new leaders in this division after a good win over Tralee Dynamos.

They went ahead after five minutes with a fine strike from Rad Keating. Dynamos recovered well and were denied an equaliser by a great save by Skelliga goalie Cormac O'Shea and again by a last ditch tackle by Barry O'Sullivan. Skelliga brought on subs Brian Smith and Chris Farley at the start of the second half and it had an immediate effect with Farley providing a perfect cross for Rad Keating to score his second goal.

In the concluding minutes Rad Keating became the provider to square a perfectly waited pass to Sean Cournane who made no mistake from close range. With the leaders Shanakill held to a draw by Classic Skelliga now sit proudly at the top of the table.

SHANAKILL'S term at the top of the table is over for the present at least after being held to a draw by Classic FC.

Both of Shanakill's goals were scored by Graham O'Leary while Sean O'Shea and Mark Tagney scored for Classic.

Mastergeeha 3 Castlemaine United 2

MASTERGEEHA came away with the three points here with their goals coming from Ricky Fleming, Paul Lenihan and an own goal. While Mark Wren scored both of Castlemaine's goals and their best performers were Jack Moriarty, Kyle Mulvihill and Dara O'Connor.
