AFTER getting to the final of the Oscar Traynor Cup last year Kerry bowed out of this year's competition at Turner's Cross last Wednesday night when they could only manage a scoreless draw against Cork AUL. They created a good few chances on the night but just could not put them away.
A victory in the game would have put them through to the knock-out stages of the national competitionbut they left themselves with too much to do at the end. They will rue losing the game to the Defence Forces at Mounthawk Park as it proved costly at the end. They won their opening game against Limerick District League 2-0 but went down 2-1 to The Defence Forces.
