SPEAKING after the game the manager of the Killarney Celtic side Nelius Hayes said he was very happy with the level of performance of his side.
"Conditions were awful for the game and we were contended at half time being 2-0 up after playing against a gale. We stuck to our guns in the second half as the pitch began to cut up, but fair play to Listowel they never gave up and fought to the very end.
"We had a good strong team on duty ans it was great to see players that have been out for a long time through injury making a comeback and playing well. We were also strong on the bench and those that were brought on performed well. We are now looking forward to represent the county in the next round of the competition at home against Cork side Kanturk."
