Killarney Celtic move five points clear at top

DENNY PREMIER A Killarney Celtic 3 Spa Road 0 KILLARNEY Celtic moved five points clear at the top of the division when they saw off the challenge of Spa Road who gave a good account of themselves. Gary Keane bagged two goals for the winners while Tony Brosnan also found the net. Despite going down Spa Road were happy enough with their overall performance. Castleisland FC 3 Classic FC 0 CASTLEISLAND FC moved up into a title challenging position after a comfortable win over Classic FC. The first half was scoreless but goals by Pa Hickey, Aidan O'Callaghan and the ageless Tim O'Donoghue wrapped up the points for Castleisland.

The winners had the two Mike McCarthys back on duty again on Sunday with Aidan O'Callaghan moving forward to a striking role again so they are a team to look out for and no side will relish meeting them especially in their home patch. Timmy Walsh was excellent at midfield for the winners.

DENNY PREMIER B Lenamore Rovers 1 AC Athletic 5 AC Athletic who are really struggling at the foot of the table took a very positive move forward when they decisively defeated fellow relegation troubled Lenamore Rovers. THIS was a big game between two title chasing sides and Fenit took the 3 points with a solitary goal which was scored by Ger McCarthy. Mastergeeha 1 Ballymac Galaxy 5 BALLYMAC Galaxy set the cat among the pigeons in this division when they ended Mastergeeha's unbeated run emphatic win.

with an Atletico Ardfert 0 Mainebank FC 1 MAINEBANK FC really upset the apple cart at Mounthawk Park when they defeated title chasing Athletico Ardfert with the winning goal scored by Colm O'Neill.
