NATIONAL CUP FOURTH ROUND: WITH the Open Draw for the National Cup's set to take place next Saturday 4 Kerry sides were hoping to get that far. Unfortunately for three of them the journey is over. However, Killarney Celtic under-15s are still flying the flag as they defeated Killmallock 3-2 after extra time.
Killarney Celtic were 2-0 up thanks to strikes from Conor McCarthy and Mikey Moynihan. Kilmallock pulled it back to send the game to extra time. Luckily for Celtic David Clifford popped up with the winner with minutes to go.
Ballyhar's great run in the National Cup came to an end as they came up against a very strong Mungret Regional side away in Limerick.
In the U-13 goals from Mikey Kelliher and Kevin Williams weren't enough for Kingdom Boys to go through as they went out 2-6 to Nenagh. Killarney Celtic under-13 also had two goal scorers - Sean Doherty and Anthony Darmody - whose strikes levelled their game with Herbertown. However, the Limerick side went on to win 4-2.
The sides left in the evenage side of the competition will be playing their fourth round games next Saturday with The Park away to Avenue and Killarney Celtic home to BT Harps in the under-12.
Meanwhile, in the under14 Cup Kingdom Boys are away to Charleville with Killarney Celtic and Ballyhar will be at home to Granagh and Avenue respectively.
