DENNY PREMIER A' Killarney Celtic 4 Dingle Bay Rovers 2 KILLARNEY Celtic went eight points clear at the top of the division after a hard earned win over Dingle Bay Rovers.

Ginatus Poketaurus was the star of the show for the South Kerry side bagging a hat-trick, while Gary Keane also found the net. Dingle gave the lead leaders a good run for their money coming back from three goals down with their goals coming from James Coffey and Declan O'Sullivan Spa Road 2 Rattoo Rovers 1 RELEGATION threatened Spa Road got the New Year off to a perfect start after a crucial win over Rattoo Rovers, who also have to start picking up points quickly if they are to avoid the drop. Spa Road went ahead after 25 minutes with a well worked score. Shane Fitzgerald probed an opening to put in Dominic Houlihan and he was as cool as a cucumber with the finish.

However, Rattoo fought back strongly in the second half and equalised on the hour mark. Then they applied a lot of pressure and but for good defending and some great saves by Spa Road keeper Pa Fitzgerald they could have forged ahead. However, after soaking up all the pressure Brendan Sweeney held off three Rattoo defenders and crossed the ball to Danny Feehan who finished in style to the net for what proved to the be the winning goal in the 85th minute of the game.

Manager Rory Byrne must be very pleased with this much needed win and Spa Road are good enough to claw themselves up the table to the safety zone.
