THE big news to come from the Kerry District League delegate meeting on Monday night is that James Sugrue has been appointed manager of the Kerry District League side for this years Oscar Traynor Cup campaign.
Sugrue has a wealth of experience in the game which includes international caps for Ireland at junior level and League of Ireland experience with Limerick City and in more recent times with his own club Tralee Dynamos.
Just two years ago he was a member of the Kerry side that reached the Oscar Traynor Cup final losing the decider to Dublin. He is one of Kerry's most successful players winning every accolade in the junior game in the county.
Sugrue will be naming his backroom staff over the next couple of months, and given his admired reputation players will be more that happy to answer the call to be involved with the Kerry team if they are asked.
