KILLARNEY Celtic are leading the Premier and were looking for the first leg of a possible double when they met Ballyhar, who themselves proved to be a great Cup side with a long run in the National Cup.
The first goal would be vital with both sides cancelling themselves out and it was Celtic who got the breakthrough just before half-time. The Killarney side broke clear and Cathal O'Shea showed great vision and unselfishness to set up Conor McCarthy to open the scoring.
Again in the second half there was nothing between the side and it took until very late on for Celtic to get their second and wrap up the game.
Cathal O'Shea was the man that got it and in doing so brought Killarney Celtic the Cup and earned himself the Man of the Match Award.
The League would to thank Mastergeeha and St Brendan's Park for the use of their excellent facilities and also to both sets of officials who handled the games with the expected professionalism.
