WITH almost half of the season completed it is fair to say that the winners of the 2012/2013 division 1 Munster junior league will come from one of the top six sides. As the league progresses the realistic challengers have been positioning themselves for their push for the title.
THE draws for the Elite Phases of the 2012-13 UEFA Women's U17 and U19 Championships were made last week at UEFA headquarters in Nyon with the Republic of Ireland receiving tough draws in both competitions. The draws were also made for the first rounds of the 2013-14 competitions and Ireland will host the U19 mini-qualifying tournament next September.
JK SPORTS U-12 -- Premier LEADERS Killorglin added another three points to their total and move onto 12 points with a 5-1 win away to Kingdom Boys. Ger Hassett got two with Daire Purcell, Daire McKeffery and Jack O'Connor netting one each. Cody Murphy replied for the home side.

DENNY DIVISION 2A -- SKELLIGA FC had little difficulty of disposing of Inter Keanmare and the game was as good as over at half time when they went in 5-0 ahead. Star of the show for the South Kerry side was Sean Cournane who bagged a hat trick and took the match ball home with him.
Classic FC 0 Killarney Athletic 0 -- KILLARNEY Athletic closed the gap on the leaders Killarney Celtic to just two points after a scoreless draw with Classic FC.
LB Rovers caused the shock of the day at Sandhill Road on Sunday when they inflicted the first defeat of the season on Balloonagh. The fact that they had to come from two goals behind to win made the victory even more admirable.
