AS predicted by the Sliabh Luachra Boxing Club coaches a few weeks ago here, the club added to its list of provincial honours at the weekend.
Club member, Saoirse Kelly came out on top in the Munster 'Girl 4' 57kg category and is now Dublin bound for the national championships in a couple of week's time.
Saoirse clinched her Munster title with a comfortable win over Ballincollig club boxer, Aisling Murray at the deciders at the club headquarters here in Castleisland on Saturday. Senior club coach, John O'Connell said that they are very impressed at Saoirse's dedication to training and to the sport in general.
"We're not going to put any pressure on her facing into the national finals in Dublin but I think she'll do very well there. What she has done to date by winning a county and a Munster title is a just reward for the work she has put into training. Anything else that comes now will be a bonus for her and for the club," said Mr O'Connell.
