AN IMPRESSIVE 72 teams have signed up for the third 'Two-Sisters' golfing event set for Kenmare Golf Club this weekend, July 5-6.
The demand for the unique event has been unprecedented with teams coming from the UK and Netherlands. On board since its inception in 2011, Newbridge Silverware in Cork will continue to sponsor the event.
A relaxed competition format, the first day of play will be foursomes, the second day will be Singles with the best score to count. Both sisters must be current members of affiliated golf clubs and must hold a current playing handicap.
The 'Sisters' complements the more established 'Three-Brothers' tournament which will be held in September and is now in its 36th year.
Kenmare Golf Club is unique in holding the sibling events which attract golfers from around the world who come together and reminisce.
Last year's Two Sisters Golf Tournament was won by Killarney sisters Noreen Coffey and Mary O'Rourke with a score of 83.
