FORMER Gaelic games commentator and Dingle native Micheal O Muircheartaigh was a hugely popular winner of the Betdaq Race of Champions final at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on the last day of June when his dog, Razldazl Rioga, stormed to a length and a half win in the €15,000 gala event, which was the highlight of a fundraising night for Kerry GAA.

The O Muircheartaigh owned Razldazl Rioga, which is trained by Dolores Ruth in Kildare, went into the final as 9/4 second favourite, behind the heavily backed Shelbourne Geoff, 5/2.

Ideally drawn in trap one, Razldazl Rioga led at the opening bend and was never headed as he won in 29.58, just a length outside the track record.
