Thomas O'Sullivan of the Cashen Vale Club claimed he's fourth Munster title in-a-row with a unanimous decision over Tim Kelleher from Ennis in the Youth 1 Middleweight final.

"I am delighted with the win, I knew it was going to be a slugging match but I caught him with some clean shots," said Ireland's number one Junior Middleweight after his victory.

Ryan Downey ensured that the Cashen Vale Boxing Club will have a presence in the National Schoolboys Championships next Easter. Downey produced his best-ever performance to defeat James Fogarty from Clonmel by a technical stoppage in the first round of the 31kg category Boy 2 final. Downey controlled the bout from start to finish, and had his opponent on the back foot through the round.

Ballyduff's Niall O'Sullivan beat James Keenan from the Glenn boxing club from Cork. This was a hard fought contest between two committed boxers, but Sullivan held his nerve and maintained the pressure to win the 57kg Youth 1 title.

The Munster Boys and Youths Championships will continue next Saturday and Sunday in the Ballybunion Community Sports Centre.
