Comórtas John Egan launched by Ogie Moran

The launch of Comórtas Peile John Egan took place on Saturday last in Tralee. COMÓRTAS Peile John Egan, an international invitational U14 tournament open to teams of both boys and girls and Kerry GAA's contribution to "The Gathering 2013" was launched in the IT Tralee on Saturday last by former Kerry great and colleague of the late corner-forward, Ogie Moran. John's wife Mary, sister, Maureen and his son John Jnr. who travelled from England for the occasion, were also present as was Chairman of Sneem GAA Club, Jim O'Sullivan and other members of the south Kerry club.

Clubs from all over Ireland and further afield have been invited to participate in the event and already 24 clubs from outside the county have signalled their intention to partake. Coiste na nÓg Chiarraí are also inviting U14 team teams from within the county to participate in the tournament and to host a visiting team. Hosting a team involves your club accommodating 20 players and two mentors from July 9 to July 12.
