ON a quiet weekend in the Kerry Community Games preparations are well under way for the first National Finals weekend from the May 25-27 where President Mishael D. Higgins will officially open proceedings.
Remaining in the Kerry Community Games team events are Hardcourt Tennis, Futsol Under- 13 and Gaelic Football Under 10 all of which have a closing date of this Thursday, May 17.
Thursday, May 24 is the final closing date for all athletics entries, whilst Thursday, June 14 is the closing date for all relay entries along with the long puck and marathon events. Taking Place this weekend is the cycling on grass which takes place on Friday in Tralee Sports Complex.
The Gymnastics competition takes place in Baloonagh School, Tralee on Sunday, May 20 with a sign in time of 10am for U8, 10 and 12 girls. Warm up is strictly at 10.30a.m.
The sign in time for U-14, U-16 and all boys is at 1.30pm. The Girls Soccer competition for U-12 and U15 takes place on Sunday also at Mastergeeha soccer complex in Killarney.
The Judo competition takes place in Firies on Monday next whilst the olympic handball is on Tuesday 22 in Listowel. Tracksuits and I.D badges will be distributed at Na Gaeil Clubhouse, Tralee on Wednasday, May 23 between 7-8p.m.
