Minors face very tough task against Cork in Munster Championship

Kerry play Cork in the Munster Minor Hurling Championship on Wednesday, April 9 in Pairc Uí Rinn in Cork at 6.15pm. The game will be the curtain raiser to the Cork versus Tipperary Munster Under-21 football final.

Gary Scollard Hurling Tournament

The Gary Scollard Under 15 Memorial Hurling Tournament went ahead at the I.T. Tralee on Saturday last with 3 teams competing - the Kerry, Limerick 'B' and West Tipperary. In the first game, Limerick beat West Tipperary by 6-15 to 0-9. The next game saw Kerry have a 2-6 to 1-8 win over West Tipperary. This left Limerick meeting Kerry in the Final and victory went to the Limerick side by 5-13 to 2-5. Thanks to all the Kerry players for their efforts and in particular to the management team of Jerome O'Sullivan (Crotta), Con O'Keeffe (Lixnaw), Mike O'Keeffe (South Kerry) and Kevin O'Mahony (Ballyheigue).

Hurling History Seminar

'A History of Hurling, Our National Game ' is the title of a one day seminar to be held in the Schoolhouse, Muckross on Saturday, 26th April. The seminar is supported by the Trustees of Muckross House. The MC for the event will be Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh and among the speakers will be Eddie Keher, Sean Kelly, Paudie Butler and Tomás Mulcahy. Kerry take on Carlow

in AHL Final

Best of luck to the Kerry senior hurlers in the Final of Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League against Carlow on this Sunday at Semple Stadium, Thurles at 3.45pm.

Club Fundraisers

St. Brendan's Hurling Club are running a fundraising Golf Classic on Easter Weekend, 18th - 21st April at Ardfert Golf Club while Lixnaw Hurling Club and Finuge GAA Club have announced a Night at the Dogs fundraiser for the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Saturday, 24th May.

Tralee Parnells remind all interested that underage coaching from under 6 to 16 takes place each Friday at 7.30pm in the IT Tralee field. Last Friday evening there were over 100 young hurlers present. Further details from http://traleeparnellshurling.blogspot.ie
