Legion meet Glenflesk in East Kerry Senior League final

Legion meet Glenflesk in the East Kerry Senior League, sponsored by Frank Doran Safeguard Security, next weekend. Both teams come to the Final having had overall good team performances. Legion qualified for the final topping the league table with 3 victories out of 4. Dr Crokes conceded their game against Legion who went on to win all their other games in Division 1, section A.
Legion had a 5 point margin in their away victory over Kilcummin, a 6 point lead at home to Scartaglen and a goal was the difference when Legion were away against Rathmore.
Glenflesk have reached the Final by winning all but one of their Division 1 Section B games, with Cordal coming out on top in their encounter. They won their game away against Gneeveguilla, on a one point margin, after an exciting fast moving game. Glenflesk had a 4 point margin when they were at home to Spa and had a convincing win away against Currow.
The Division 1 Final is fixed for on Saturday, 5th April at 5.30pm. Venue to be decided. Extra time if necessary.
East Kerry Junior League
Round 2 of the East Kerry Junior League, sponsored by Patrick Doyle Haulage, continues next Tuesday. All games at 6.45pm. First named team has home venue. The fixtures are as follows: Division 1 - Dr Crokes V Legion; Glenflesk V Gneeveguilla. Division 2 - Kilcummin V Rathmore; Spa V Fossa.
Munster Scór Sinsear Congratulations
Congratulations to the East Kerry Competitors in the Scór Sinsear Munster Finals last Sunday, in the University of Limerick. Three of the four East Kerry participants won Munster titles and are through to the All Ireland Finals. These are Glenflesk -Figure dancing; Spa - Recitation; Kilcummin - Set dancing. Hard luck to Kilcummin Ballad Group, who did their club and East Kerry proud but unfortunately did not get through to the Finals. Best of luck in the All Ireland Finals on the 25th April in Castlebar.
Scór na bPaisit Co Semi Final Congratulations
A great night was held in Foilmore on Saturday last when the County semi-finals were held. The participants from East Kerry gave fantastic performances with all acts qualifying to the county final. Congratulations and well done to all competitors. The East Kerry competitors were Figure dancing - Glenflesk, Solo Singing - Kilcummin, Recitation - Firies, Instrumental Music - Spa, Leiriú - Fossa, Ballad Group - Glenflesk, Set Dancing - Kilcummin. The East Kerry question time team from Kilcummin will compete in the County Finals on Sunday April 13 in the Tintean Theatre in Ballybunion.
Kenmare Primary Schools Mini Sevens
Kenmare Primary Schools Mini Sevens took place last Wednesday. Conditions on the day were excellent with Kenmare club pitches in great shape players excelled with strong performances by all teams. St Johns NS Kenmare defeated a spirited Kilgarvan Central NS team in the boys decider while Realt Na Mara Tuosist NS girls team showed great team work to defeat a solid St Johns NS girls team in a superb match. Thanks to Andy O'Sullivan (Kenmare) for the use of the club facilities and Dermot Healy (Principal) of P.S. Inver Scéine for his assistance, to Vince Cooper, East Kerry/Kenmare GDA, in organising the well run event.
