There was a fabulous turn out for the Kerry Juvenile Development Indoor Championships, which were held in the Presentation Hall Killarney on Sunday, with nearly every club in the county represented. With events for ages U-9 to U-12 this competiton is primarily for any athletes who didn't win a medal at County Championships in May 2013 and young athletes in their first year of competition.

Meanwhile, in the final event of the National Indoor Championships held at the Athlone Internation Arena on Saturday, March 29 the Lios Tuathail girls 4 x 200m relay team ran an excellent race to finish in a very close 4th place. They were just 3/10th of a second off bronze medal position in what was a highly competitive race. The team was made up of Sophie Lynch, Aoife Mahony, Niamh Cullen, Rachel Moriarty and Marie O'Neill (sub).

* Apologies to Katelyn Reid from An Riocht who won a bronze medal in U12 high jump at the National indoor championships and whose result was omitted last week.
