WITH just one place up for grabs in each of the eight categories at Sunday's Scór na nOg Muinster finals, it was never going to be easy for the eager participants to claim a coveted All-Ireland place.
But despite the extremely stiff competition, Kerry crowned two new Munster champions in Mallow at the weekend, when representatives from St Senan's and Keel wowed judges with their talent.
Poetry lover Gearoid Galvin from St Senan's GAA club saw off the competition from fellow competitors from Cork, Limerick, Clare, Waterford and Tipperary to claim Munster honours in the recitation category - much to the delight of the north Kerry contingent who travelled to support him.
Meanwhile, the set dancers of Spa GAA - Liam Spillane, Gary O'Sullivan, Ciaran O'Doherty, Eoin O'Donoghue, Katie O'Connor, Anna O'Connor, Katie Cronin, Ciara O'Shea - also booked their place in the All-Ireland final, with another impressive performace on the night.
Both clubs will now vie for All Ireland honours n the Dome, County Derry on Saturday, February 23.
