COUNTY Board Chairman Patrick O'Sullivan has hailed the continued support of the Garvey Group to Kerry GAA.

The Dr Crokes clubman made the comments at the launch of this year's County Senior Football Championship, sponsored by Garveys, at Garveys Supervalu on Rock Street, Tralee on Monday afternoon.

"When AIB stepped down as sponsors the Garvey family came up with the sponsorship and I'd like to thank them very much for it," he commented.

Speaking on behalf of the Garvey Group, Jim Garvey highlighted the importance of the GAA to Kerry society.

"It's a huge part of what we're about in Kerry," he commented.

"We've a lot of shops in Kerry and obviously the GAA is part of the fabric of Kerry society so we're just delighted to be involved in it. We're looking forward to a very good championship."

The first round draw takes place this weekend.
