Castleisland Golf Club will celebrate the Year of the Gathering in its own, unique way next week. Their event, which will run parallel with the Brosnan Clan Gathering in Castleisland, will run over three days which will include: July 25th/26th and 27th.

The competition is open to all visitors with or without an official handicap with an allowance for ladies 28, gents 20.

Club officials would especially like to see former members return to the club and experience at first hand the improvements which have been made to the course over the past number of years. It is, of course, also an opportunity to meet colleagues whom they may not have met in some time.

The competition is an 18 hole Stableford competition, two person team. Entry fee is just €10 for members, €15 for former members and €20 for non-members. Re-entry is permitted with a different partner. Amazing prizes are on offer for the best team over the weekend and there will be an additional prize for the best clan, ie. the O'Connors, Fitzgeralds or O'Shea's etc.

Entry for 'The Clan Competition' is an additional €5 per person and you need not play with someone of the same surname to enter this. Booking can be made online at www.castleislndgolfclub.com or by phoning Francis on 066 71 41709.
