A YOUNG Dingle man will be down €1,000 for living up to his name in an unfortunate manner.
Samuel Noah Spinn, 38 Gortanora, Dingle, was stopped by gardaí while driving a motorbike without insurance at Milltown, Dingle, on May 12 of this year - after taking the bike, which he had been working on, for a quick 'spin', his solicitor explained.
Mr Spinn pleaded guilty at Dingle District Court to the charge of no insurance.
Solicitor Dave Ramsey said his client had never been in trouble before and explained that he had merely taken the bike for a spin having been working on it for some time. Mr Spinn deeply regretted his actions, Mr Ramsey said.
He will get the benefit of the Probation Act if he begins paying €1,000 by the November court in Dingle.
