A KERRY car importer and dealer has paid over €99,000 to the taxman for underdeclaring his Income Tax and VAT.
Pat Cremins, whose occupation was listed as a car dealer and importer, with an address at Aughills, Castlemaine, was named in the latest list of tax defaulters which was published by Revenue on Tuesday.
The list contains the details of all people and companies who reached a settlement with revenue regarding outstanding taxes between July 1 and September 30 2012.
Mr Cremins paid Revenue €99,142.24 arising from underdeclared income tax and VAT totalling €65,195.30. The settlement, which arose after a Revenue Audit Case, also included €14,388.35 in outstanding interest and penalties of €19,558.59.
The list of defaulters also included a Castleisland based construction firm which made a settlement of over €44,000 with Revenue.
Archicon Limited, a construction firm with an address at Caheragh, Powells Road, Castleisland, made a settlement of €44,284 for non operation of relevant contracts tax amounting to €28,778 following a Revenue Audit Case.
The settlement included interest of €1,712 and penalties of €13,794.
