The light show must go on

GIVEN the unprecedented success of Tony Noonan's fundraising Christmas lights spectacular, the Templeglantine family have been asked to keep their lights up for another week to allow even more visitors the chance to see the amazing display.
Tony has been in touch to say that due to popular demand, the lights will remain up in Tullig North until this Sunday, January 13, allowing people another chance to support a number of local charities, including the Brothers of Charity in Foynes and Newcastle West, Milford Hospice and the Adare Branch of the Alzheimer's Society.
Tony said that he has been absolutely blown away by the level of generosity he has seen this year, including young children who are even donating their piggy bank savings to the cause.
In the 15 years that Tony has been doing this, he and his family have raised an incredible € 100,000 for charities across west Limerick. Every cent that is donated from the public goes to the charities, while Tony and his loyal sponsors foot the cost of the ESB bill, which last year hit €950.
