A DINGLE restaurant has retained its status as a place to eat of worldrenown by being awarded a prestigious Bib Gourmand designation by the Michelin Guide.
The Chart House, owned by Jim McCarthy, had no complaints when the Michelin website mistakenly released their winners for 2013 a week early, as the Dingle restaurant was one of just 12 Irish recipients of the award and the sole Kerry winner. The Bib Gourmand accolade is for establishments who serve great food at good value - a highly desired distinction for restaurateurs.
Speaking following the news, Jim McCarthy, said he was thrilled to regain the Bib Gourmand.
"It is a true testament of our hard work both in the kitchen and table side to serve good local produce prepared and cooked meticulously and all for a moderate price," Jim said.
"We are in it for the long haul, so our focus and motivation will always be to deliver an exceptional dining experience with a value price tag," added Jim.
