IT'S a simple idea and it should help raise a tidy sum for the seven charities involved in this year's Ring of Kerry Cycle - for the first time cyclists can purchase a special cycle jersey to wear on the big day and to keep as a memento of the popular event.
Cycle organisers have commissioned a one-off high quality Italian-made cycling jersey and with 100s already sold it is already proving a major hit for cycle fans.
"We hope the jerseys will create awareness of the charity cycle and it's great to see everyone wearing the green and gold jerseys on the roads while out training for the cycle," Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle PRO Cathal Walshe said.
The jerseys are available in all sizes right up to double extra-large but with some sizes already sold out it is advised to buy the official jersey as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. They are available in: Kerry Outdoor Sports, Killarney; O'sullivan's Cycles, Killarney; The Small Little Bike Shop, Killarney; Landers Outdoor World, Tralee; I-bike, Beaufort; Fermoy Bike Shop; Killmallock Cycles and Fitz Cycles.ie in Dublin.
It can also be bought online and will be sent out in the post.
