ASDEE'S Littor Strand formed the ideal setting for the annual Asdee race meeting on Sunday when hundreds gathered for what organisers deemed another hugely successful event,
The pleasant autumnal weather helped greatly in attracting families to the meeting which saw six top class races run without a glitch.
There was a great atmosphere on the beach all day, and plenty of local interest, with a number of Kerry horses and riders looking for glory. Dingle's Jack Kennedy from enjoyed treble glory on the day, and the subsequent cancellation of Cahersiveen Races this Sunday saw him claim his first Irish Field National Jockeys Championship title..
Spectators were also treated to plenty sideline activities, including chidren's activities that went down a treat. Locals and visitors alike agreed that great credit was due to the organisers of Sunday's event and their stewards, who went above and beyond to ensure the safe, efficient and successful running of the event once again this year.
