Both schools decided as part of their Educational Partnership to share resources for the benefit of boys and girls in the town of Castleisland and its catchment areas. As part of the programme students are involved in areas like: Young Social Innovators; Community placements; Work Experience placements and are taking on the role of production team for the joint schools musical 'The Sound of Music'.

The T.Y. students have set up a Credit Union and are in engaged in a F1 technology project and have also completed a module on forensics.

"Students are benefiting enormously from the opportunity to engage in a wide range of learning activities. The educational partnership between the two schools offers a unique approach to Transition Year, one that will provide students with the expertise and resources of both schools," said principal, Eileen Kennelly.
