Rotary presentation to St Vincent de Paul

THE members of the Tralee Rotary Club have donated the proceeds from their recent golf classic to St Vincent De Paul.

The annual two day charity golf classic took place at Tralee Golf Club over Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12 and St Vincent De Paul were chosen as the beneficiaries of this year's event.

More than 30 teams of four took part in the event which involved two days of intense competition on the course at Barrow.

At the club's weekly luncheon in the Imperial Hotel on Tuesday Tralee Rotary Club President John Moriarty presented a cheque for €6,500 to Christy Lynch of SVdP.

During the lunch meeting the winners of the golf classic various categories were also presented with their awards.

Mr Moriarty said that everyone involved with the Tralee Rotary Club are delighted and proud to be able to support such a good cause and to be in a position to help the needy in Kerry.

St Vincent De Paul thanked the Rotary Club and everyone who took part in the golf classic for their generosity, help and support.
