Robert Monahan of Scoil Naomh Eirc in Kilmoyley has reached the top 75 finalists and is in with a chance of having his doodle, based on the theme of My Invention, displayed on the Google Ireland homepage.

Voting closes on March 4, and the five most popular doodles, one from each age category, will advance to the final.

The five class group winners and their teachers will receive a Chromebook each, while the winner's school will also receive a €10,000 technology grant from Google, and the winning student will receive a €5,000 college scholarship.
