THREE Tralee estates have celebrated their annual summer Masses in the last week.

Last Tuesday and Thursday evenings, residents of Racecourse Road, Fountain Court and Manor Village gathered to celebrate Mass in their estates.

While last week's weather was unpredictable, to say the least, the three estates thankfully escaped the rain while the masses took place with large crowds turning out for each ceremony.

The first took place at Racecourse Road on Tuesday evening when around 60 residents came out to celebrate mass with Fr Sean Hanafin of St Johns Church. On Thursday evening around 30 residents of Fountain Court attended Mass celebrated by St John's Fr Bernard Healy.

The largest of last week's open air ceremonies took place at Manor Village on Thursday evening when over 100 residents of the large estate gathered on it's manicured green for a mass celebrated by Fr Gerard Finucane of St Johns.

After Mass the younger Manor Village residents also took some time to enjoy the new Butterfly Garden in the estate.
