TRALEE Town Park was the arena for all the proud pooches last Sunday as a fun family dog show was held in aid of 'Animal Heaven Animal Rescue' (AHAR).

The heavens opened during the competition but it didn't stop the dogs and their owners participating for this great cause. At one point Noah appeared to rescue all the dogs two-by-two from the rain.

In the end, there were many winners throughout the day for dogs of all shapes, sizes and colour.

May Crawford and Mary Knowles, with the help from their families, put a lot of effort into organising the show. After all the organising and preparation, both May and Mary managed AHAR's stall throughout the day. Ted Cronin was the MC and kept the crowd entertained during the canine competitions.

A huge 'thank you' also went out to Pa Knowles, who worked from 7am to midnight on the show.

Animal Heaven Animal Rescue also thanked the judges and everyone who went along on Sunday.

Next year's dog show is set to be even bigger and better with AHAR's new premises, which includes an indoor arena for future shows.
