Paul Galvin's 'nice' tweet

HATS off to Kerry footballer Paul Galvin who showed that his wit is very nearly as impressive as his footballing skills with a rather surprising tweet for one of his greatest rivals.

To celebrate 'Powering Kindness Week' - an Electric Ireland initiative to encourage people show their compassionate side while raising funds for charity - the Finuge man sent a tweet to Cork footballer and arch rival Noel O'Leary , wishing him luck in his retirement.

The tempestuous relationship between the two All-Ireland winning players is no secret, but Galvin used the the nationwide campaign as an opportunity to send O'Leary best wishes on his recent departure from the game.

Last Friday's tweet read:

'Wishing Noel O'Leary a happy retirement" and the message was accompanied by a rare snap of the two embracing after a match.
