ONE of the country's best-known crooners is joining forces with some of Tralee's finest choral singers for a concert in Siamsa Tire on Saturday, October 13, next.
Red Hurley will take to the stage alongside the St John's Choir on the night for a number of semireligious songs, including How Great Thou Art and I Will Sing.
The concert is the culmination of a friendship between the choir and Red Hurley struck up when they performed at the same event for former President Mary McAleese at Aras an Uachtaráin two years ago.
"This is the result of that performance in the Aras, where we met Red Hurley, who invited us to perform with him in Siamsa," director of the St John's Choir Mike O'Shea explained. Tickets are available from Siamsa Tire and the concert will take place at 8pm on the night.
