SCLEIP an t-Samhraidh promises to bring plenty of fun and spectacle to the sea-side village of Ventry this week as Kerry football legend Páidí Ó Sé hosts a variety of events at Árd a'Bhóthair from July 16 to 22.
According to Páidí himself, the 'scleip' will centre around music, food and plenty of craic over the seven days.
Dolores Keane will be among the performers heading west along the road to perform in Páidí's pub during the week. Also, Páidí's good friend, and no stranger to West Kerry, former Irish rugby star Mick Galwey will lead a 50km charity cycle from Páidí Ó Sé's around West Kerry. Other events taking place during the week's events include a Defence Forces tug of war and sheepdog trials.
The fun begins on Monday July 16 with a feast of smoked mackerel and summer salads at Páidí's. It will end the following Saturday with a barbeque of spare ribs, crubeens and lobster.
